Everybody knows that MPH is miles per hour and RPM is revolutions per minute and KNOTS is nautical mile per hour.
But what is RPMS and Knots per hour?

"But what is RPMS"

Rubs per massage session? They rub out the knots and charge by the hour.

The term KTS an abbreviation for Knots means nautical miles per hour. To add the phrase per hour after KTS is redundant (Example) If you use the term Ive been sailing at 6 KTS what your saying is you have been sailing at 6 knots per hour or 6 nautical miles per hour

I can’t stand the suspense, Ross !! How long ya going to wait before letting on that the rope was knotted about every fifty feet .. and the sand glass was about a thirty second one.. so when ya put the drag piece in the water (LOG) you counted the number of knots in the line that went out.. the speed was 6 knots if 6 knots went overboard.. not 6 knots per hour .. which may be repetitively redundant..

If it was 6 knots per hour it would be a very boring trip. ;)

Details, details...

Everybody knows that MPH is miles per hour and RPM is revolutions per minute and KNOTS is nautical mile per hour.

It is defined that MPH is miles per hour and RPM is revolutions per minute and knots is nautical miles per hour, but what are RPMS and knots per hour?

Let's capitalize pH and chemical names too.

We could start a thread on whether it is Titanic or the Titanic.

Re: Details, details...

I was sorta hoping that an original poster could tell us. RPMs was used in two posts in the past couple of days.

Ross,

None of us is perfect even if one of us here thinks he is.;)

BTW what is "Prolly"??? I've seen you use this made up word a few times over the years. It's PROBABLY!!;) Sorry I have a tougher time with PROLLY than I do RPMs or RPM's at least with RPMs I know what the heck a poster is talking about. Took me a while to figure out PROLLY was a horrible fracturing of the language for probably..

I will PROBABLY continue to spell the as teh and below as bellow just because I tend to type that not mean it...:)

With al capp gone and walt kelly just a memory we must expect the world to lose its direction. I am sure that you don't rmember Paul Webb and the Mountain Boys. I dated his daughter a couple of times in high school. Sorry that you take life so seriously but it is what we have. sigh.
