Coming to Oceanside Looking for day charter

OOOPPPs Oceanside California, in the U.S. if there might be one outside. Wife is going to be in a seminar for a few days end of this May.Uummm... WHICH Oceanside
I am not sure if there are any bareboat charters in Oceanside, I have never looked into it at all.
There are some in San Diego, so you might want to take a look there if Oceanside does not provide any. Also, possibly Dana Point. SD and DP are about the same distance away from O'side, so there is no real advantage/disadvantage to either.

Try below; looks like they have a 23-ft for bareboat hire in Oceanside. Not too much to see or do around Oceanside during a 2-hr sail.

Mission Bay San Diego, less than 45 min drive from Oceanside, would be more fun IMHO & better rates (below).

Go to the Seaforth location in Mission Bay. It's way closer than Oceanside. Lots of places to sail in the Bay or go outside if you choose.
Other than renting a dinghy, they usually require some type of certification, i.e. US Sail, or ASA. Harbor Sailboats has basic keelboat classes every weekend, and their boats are in nice condition. They have a sale going on now that you could check into. Great classes with plenty of on the water time while on beautiful San Diego Bay. Their basic keelboat course uses Capri-22's

Seaforth boats are rode hard, and put away wet. We went to charter a C-250 from them and it was filthy, and you couldn't go below the head smell was so bad. I couldn't believe the condition of their Capri-22's and Capri-18's either sitting at the dock.
Too bad you'll be here in May. May and June historically are the worst months we have along the coast with fog. They don't call it the "May Gray" and "June Gloom" for nothing. So bring a sweatshirt!

Thanks for the suggestion. But its a little pricey. I will be in Escondito on the 25, 26, 27 and they only have classes on the weekend. For a private lesson during the week it would be over $600. Cant do that. But thanks for the information anyway.
