Once or twice a day

I check on my boats at least twice a day all winter, when I get up and outside in the morning, and when I get home from the office in the evening. I go aboard about once a week in the winter to check the bilge and make sure all is well, bilge still running, batteries charged/charging etc. I have 100ft bulkheaded seawall on the waterfront in my backyard with a deicer system, so it's easy to keep watch, and enjoy. On clear days throughout the winter I open the hatches and let the boats air out. On warmer weekend days I can easily accomplish small projects on the boats. This set up makes life easy, and saves me slip and storgae fees <G> . Short hauls occasionally to Pwash bottoms and repaint at the local yard. Jim

I probably check on my boat at least once a week. It gives me time to work on some winter projects. I've got a small leak in the toe rail that I won't be able to fix 'til warmer weather arrives so a bail out is needed every so often. Nice Pics Jim! Give me a buzz sometime, I don't have an SAYC directory. Planning on putting a group together for some rafting at Tices and Silver Bay this summer. Maybe even a trip to AC and up the Mollica. ghogan@dsandt.com Later, Garrett

Again soon....Garrett

LOL Garrett...all the way around the world for 300 yds away! No SAYC for me this year, rather planning some cruising and group rafting as you mention. Your sweet H25 is wet this winter, right? Lets talk about Summer Sailstice on Barnegat.....weekend of June 18th! We can wave goodbye as we pass those on the deck for Flag Raising <G>.....Jim

Visitation - off season

I visit my boat usually once a month on off season. I try not to visit it right after a winter snow storm as I am sure that the marina is plugged with snow and other vehicles. The frequency increases during warmer weather when I can do work on it.
