I feel a need to defend the Combi. My first Vega, a series I, had a combi
drive. The wonderful thing about them, when the prop is feathered for sailing
(which is the aim, afterall) is the absence of drag from those two or three
blade props. That boat was noticeably faster than the series II I had with a
gearbox and conventional prop.

I would say that just about any machine shop could make a very
simple adapter plate for you Combi for not too much money. There
should be some pretty big savings in not buy an engine with a
transmission. They are not cheap. Doug

Hi!

Enclosed is a picture on the zink for the combi. Just Google on Albin Motor or follow the link below. The site is also in english. I do not think it will be any problem to order from the US. It cost about 30 US dollar for a complete set or 25 US dollar for just the zink + shipping.

Good sailing,

Hi Group
Ok. My mechanic wants to know if anyone has a picture of the engine bed with the Yanmar Y 2 engine since whoever put in the BMW raised it 3 inches and the driveshaft doesn't line up by that amount.
Hope someone understands what I'm talking about.
Thanks
