Hi Sid;
when you replace the stuffing box hose, replace also the
bush and the seal rings.
I've taken out the shaft quite often, but it's a little
hard to explain here. I could could make a copy of the
whole thing if you like and send it to you- unless some one
else can explain it better then me...it's not too hard to
do, good luck
