Combi leaking

My combi is leaking, sea water is dripping out of the end cover of the combi housing.
In an old forum entry i found: "The grease in the prop stops any seawater running up the (control) tube to the combi".
My questions:
Will the problem be solved by greasing the prob properly?
Are there additional gaskets or o-rings (or what-so-ever) to be renewed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Lueder -- if you haven't greased your hub lately, that may be a
solution. If that doesn't work, there are several seals that prevent
seawater ingress. Steve Birch sells a combi rebuild kit with all the O
rings and so forth, but you need to remove the entire unit to rebuild
it. There are instructions in our group archives. Trevor V2915

Hi Lueder

You need to service the combi and change the bearing and oil seals. Check teh control tube for wear at teh same time.

Cheers
