I have an old Combi Autohelm 3000 that came with our H34. It has never worked properly, going from sailing a 360 degree swing to , now, not comming on when I connect it up. If I twist the top and bottom on the compass unit ( it is a round barrel shaped thing with a 360 degree wheel on top) it will sometimes start up and the drive unit will move briefly. I thought I would take it apart and see if there was anything obvious that was loose, etc. Only thing is I can't figure out how to get it apart and the user manual is of course no help- guess they dont want users taking it apart. Anyone taken one of these apart ( and put it back together)?
