Does anyone have any info on the Columbia 28.9 (1981)? Any problem areas? Thanks, Norm

Actual designation, I believe, is Columbia 8.7. Post this question on Columbia website on Yahoo. There is a very active group of Columbia owners and many own C8.7's. Also check out www.columbia-yachts.com for specs, owner's registry and other useful information. JT

Norm - I had a Columbia 8.7 surveyed (didn't buy it) before I purchased my Catalina 30. I loved the interior design and the general feel of the boat, but the decks had serious problems with delamination along with some other structural problems. My surveyor indicated that this was a common problem with Columbias. Just an area for you to check. BILL
