It includes the AC power adapter / transformer as well.

Took it home, plugged it in, and in a few hours, it was colder than my little beer fridge!
Since we are lake sailing with overnights at or near the dock planned, we thought this would work well. We will give it a try this weekend.

Yup. The shelf tag said 37.94. There was no tag on it, so my wife said she thought it was 34.97... I think she is dyslexic!

This type of cooler doesn't work so well on making a hot six pack, cold. Pre-cool your stuff first and it will maintain it. I found them to make a bit more noise than I liked. They are a nice alternative to the melted ice water problem.

I was not really worried about current draw, as so far we have tied up at night. But I will give it a test and let you know how fast it draws down 2 deep cycle 235 ah batteries.
I read about it not being good at cooling foods. In fact the instruction book says to improve performance by adding chilled foods or expect it to take longer.
And yes, my wife hates food floating in ice water. :)

We have an older chest version of that. It's not real cold but it stays dry. It helps if you keep it out of the sun. Ours stays on shore on AC power

I have 2 of these 12v/115AC units. One is the large (40qt?) Igloo and the other is a 12 pac Coleman. I use them primarily to keep beer cold. The above comments are accurate as precooled items are the way to go with these unless left to cool for days. I have used the Igloo over 10 years and Coleman 5. These are the ones I posted about that can be run powered by JUST a 80w solar panel so power consumption is moot using such a system. If amps become low from solar panel, cooler transfer motor just runs slower! About 5 amps and constant run limits practical use onboard unless a solar panel (flexable panel would be best) is devoted to its use.
Hope this helps, Chief

Yes their practical use on board is limited as they run continuously and use around 5Ah at 12V. The cooling power is limited to a 40 degrees differential below ambient temperature. I use one to take on road trips as it works quite well siting on the air conditioned back of the SUV and it is fully powered by the large alternator. The fact that the 12Vdc plug in the back turns off with the Ignition switch removes the worry about having to unplug it when the engine is off. I do pre-cool it the night before and throw in a couple of those frozen ice-packs to help maintain a cool temperature.
