My Coldmachine died last week because of the condenser fan. It finally quit. Does anyone know how many CFM's is called for? I haven't found a dealer that could tell me. It looks like a standard 4 11/16" square, and only 1" deep. If someone had a similar unit (CU-100), and could check the amp load on the fan for me, I then could figure out the CFM. I'm guessing .5 to 1 amps. Thanks for helping out.

Radio Shack makes a 4 inch fan that's a simple replacement.

The Radio Shack fan is: 4 inch 12 V DC fan #2730238 all of $25, instead of $43! It's a bit thicker than the old one, bought new longer machine screws and nuts - easy except for getting out of the lazarette

Thank you Stu, but my fan is on the inside between the condenser and the compressor, and anything thicker than 1 inch, won't fit. I have found fans that fit, but don't know how many CFM's I need to have it work right in tropic climates.

So is mine and it does fit. Only way I would've reported a less expensive replacement. Good luck.

Thanks Stu, it looks like you had lots of room to upgrade your fan. I have about 1/8" clearance in front of mine. Thanks again for your input.
