cold water/exhaust thru-hull

Newbie question. I started my '82 27 for the first time today. The cold water thru-hull only discharged a short blast of water once every 10-15 seconds even after letting the engine run for an hour with the temp gauge in the normal range. Is this ok? Thanks.

Doesn't sound like enough water movin' Eric

the impellor is probably in poor condition. It's a good idea to change it on an engine new to you as you don't know till then how old it is.
