Google Search
After posting here, I thought about a Google search. Found out that this started way back when with the Greeks to ensure passage to the after life in the event of a catastrophy.Still quite the custom even now. The USS Eisenhauer (Ike) has several sets of wings placed under the mast when it was set in place. My mast was stepped yesterday and I dropped 3 shiny new pennies into the Step plate. One for each us that have owned the boat. Never hurts to appeaze the superstition. Just hope it is enough! I saw what a number of years did to the three pennies that I pulled out. Barely noticable as coins. Silver Doller probably would not last long, but you never know. Thanks for the posts. I am starting to work on a photo collection for the repair of the Deck Compression problem and fix that I did. I want to tune the rigging and see what happens before I post the Photo message to the board.Pat.h-27 Largo.
