Weeellll...maybe

If you just drop the bag in and dunk it up and down till the water turns brown, the results are gawdawful. However, if you cover the cup and let it steep with bag in it for about 5 minutes--which gives it time to release the flavor--you CAN get a decent cup of coffee with 'em. (Notice I said "decent," not good.)

Chris, you have it right! Bags are the easiest and quickest way to go. With a little trial and error on timing and dunking etc. the coffee is MORE than decent!

Bags are the next best.

If you cannot get fresh ground/brewed coffee, the coffee bags are the next best around. You can boil a pot of water and put in in a thermos. Then each cup of coffee is freshly brewed and hot. Place the coffee bag in the cup, pour in a cup of HOT water and let the bag sit for 2-4 mins. Dunking the bag every so often make the bag release more of it savory flavor.

Without these two topics the Archives would contain only half the information currently stored therein ;-) We perk (the coffee) and guzzle (the beer)!!
