Has anyone on a newer Hunter 33 ever removed the cockpit tables without losing the integrity of the stability of the helm.
It would certainly free up cockpit space

I asked a Hunter dealer the same question about 4 years ago when we were seriously considering buying a used Hunter 33 from the dealer. I hated the table support strut that extends almost into the companion way. The salesman had someone from their new boat commissioning team look at the table and said that we would have to give up the cockpit table and he could add a third leg that was mounted closer to the helm pedestal. He thought it would cost about $800. We bought a H356 that had the same table strut, but more room between the strut and the companion way.

Good Luck.

My wife had the same complaint, regarding the table intrusion into the cockpit space. One of the guys at the Rendavous said that you could delete the table and just have a slight foot brace to use when you heeling way over, that would use the same holes where the table brace is. You could also get a table that swings up from the instrament pot toward the bow. When it's down it would be under the existing cup holders.

Cockpit table

Hi SpongeRob,

When my new Hunter 33 arrived they forget to installed the cockpit table! It was sent to me later. But I decide not to install it, it gives me alot of room in the cockpit to move around. I think I make a right decesion. sonny
