Cockpit Table

I just finished making this 12X24 Teak Cockpit Table and install it yesterday on our Seaward 23, can't wait to have my first glass of wine on it! It is made of solid teak with a custom Compass Rose Inlay. All the hardware is made with SS 1/4 rod and miscellaneous other SS hardware modified to fit my purpose. Thanks Pat 513 891 5112

Cockpit table inlay

Pat, did you do the inlay yourself? If so, how do you do that? Great stuff!

I ordered the inlay from a company in Calif, cost $45.00. The challenge was how to fit/machine the inlay into the table top surface. I found a guy with a CNC machine to do it, cost $60.00, It was impossible to do it without the CNC. I was extremely happy with how it turned out!

Nice job bigpopa, I love marquetry woodworking. I was torn between doing a compass rose or a copy of the sailboat for the Luger salon table. The projects I've done in the past used veneers and exacto blades and a lot of patience.
