Many of the Hunters have the open hole in the cockpit floor to support the table when in place. The 2X2 inch square is always full of water and crudd. I don't want to permantently seal the hole. There is no cap available through Hunter Marine. Anyone have a clever solution to cover it?

Rick, I found a small hitch cover at Walmart that fits exactly over the square ($3). I sprayed it white with Rust-oleum primer and 2 top coats of paint. It covers perfect. Thanks, Chris

Filled mine with plaster
I filled my receiver hitch cover with plaster so stagnant water doesn't collect and there's less habitat for insects & spiders.

I use the table support (without the table). I also attached a PCV pipe T attachment and put the tiller handle into it (got the idea from someone else). It works very well and is a good way to keep the rudder straight when docked.
