I went to the Newport Boat Show yesterday, and besides hanging out with Bob Bitchin, the best thing there was the new cockpit table on the Catalina C315.
For the C315 they solved my one issue with the C310 cockpit. When sailing and healing, it is difficult to brace yourself forward of the wheel due to the large cockpit. On the C315, they put a smaller version of the tables that are on the C350 and C380 (see photos). It has a bar along the bottom that you can use to brace yourself. It is also a little easier to use and has some storage built in.
I emailed Catalina this morning about buying a table like this. Hopefully they get back to me soon. This could be a very worthwhile upgrade.
As to the C315, not really impressed. I am not a fan of the traditional V-birth. I also think that the changes in the cockpit made it harder to sail short handed.
