Cockpit table leg ideas

Hello all, we are looking for ideas on adding a leg to our cockpit table.

I will try to get a picture when at the boat, but basically it is like an Edson table, but diy, the drink/binocular holder was modified to add a bar under it, the table slides between the holder and the bar, works ok, but it is leaning in the front(the bar would need to be further out) so we are thinking about adding a removeable or folding leg to support it.
What are you suggesting we do?

We have a removable SS tube with a rubber foot for the outer end of our table. It fits into a hole in a block of wood on the underside of the table and we're careful not to kick it when the table's loaded.

Hey dmax, that looks great, thank you, unfortunately mine isn’t on a hinge  so this won’t work for me, but if I do modify it to a hinged table, this would be wonderful

From your description it sounds like the table rests on or is jammed somehow onto the tabernacle. You could put in one or more pins through it and into whatever it rests on to hold it more securely and then add the arm or foot.

The table rests on a large dowel and is supported from the top by the bottom of the drink/binocular holder.
If the table
Would be shorter it would be ok, but with the length and the wings, it is too heavy to fully support it

I think we need a picture to see what this setup is.
