Cockpit Sole Crack

I have a '74 O'Day 23 with an inset compass on the cockppit sole. The last owners let the boat sit for five years unattended leading to various problems from weather damage. On the cockpit sole there is an 8" crack between the compass and transom. It runs fore and aft, possibly caused by ice. Are there any good ways to support the area tha now flexes under weight? If I lay some glass fabric on top it may pull off the sides or shatter and I am predicting a very difficult time trying to build supports in the bilge area. Also, the teak piece under the anchor light located on the top of the transom along with one of the rigging pieces have come loose of the deck. What would be the best way to reseat these as the under side of the deck is out of reach? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Patrick Vensel Interlude
