I am the very happy owner of a 08 H41DS for 2.5 years. One thing I haven't figured out is what is wrong with the cockpit shower. At first I figured that it was just old/corroded and found a new exact r&r duplicate, same brand. Installed and same performance...very poor, just a dribble. I am wondering what to do now. Suggestions?

There is a water manifold under the sink, the valve may not be fully open. The hose may be crushed or kinked. The lines may be crushed by something

First thing I would look at is the manifold valve as Uncledom suggests. Second thing I would look at is the strainer in the shower head itself. In mine there is a little screen in there and if your lines were dirty from low flow it could have filled the screen immediately with gunk! Last while you have the shower head off run it full flow from the hot and cold side. If the manifold valve is open fully and you are still not getting good flow then the line may be crushed or kinked. Good luck!

I checked the manifold under the sink, valves were fully open. I disconnected the hot and cold lines from the shower unit and tested the lines separately for flow, which was good. Then
I removed the spray head and got a good flow thru the supply hose. I took the spray head apart and saw a restrictor inside the head that I was unable to remove so I drilled a 5/16 hole in it and now we have a functional cockpit shower.

Guess what I discovered about the faucet valves?

They get stuck in both the OPEN and CLOSED position.
I opened up my forward head shower and Zero flow.:(
Kinked hose? No!
Shower head clean and mini-stainer clean? Yes!
Galley sink[nearest water faucet] working? Yes!
So was going to replace the Valves. Then I extremely OPENED the faucet valve.
Here comes the flow!

I was trying to remove the faucet from the mount.:)
