I am unsure of the correct term, but I am redoing my 38M cockpit seats and looking to source the rubber strips that are embedded between the strips of teak. These appear to be 1/4" wide by 3/8" deep.

Does anyone know where I might find a supplier of this rubber strips or a comparable substitute??

Actually, they are beads of black silicone caulk. Apply with a caulking gun, and unless you happen to have a really steady hand, you might want to mask the edged of the grooves.
Be sure that all of the old caulking is removed and the surface to be caulked is clean.

Thank you Doug for the advice. The inserts must have been moulded at the time of manufacture (1990) as they are very consistent and have a slight ridge on the upper corners, which is why I thought they were a fabricated item.

The material you are looking for is black polysulphide (a rubber material) it adheres to teak very well. You will need to mask your joints to make this fix work, however Beneteau sells the entire panel precut and seamed. You simply place polysulphide around the edge of the panel. Beneteau USA has a service bulletin for installation.
