Hi All,

I have managed to lose two of my cockpit locker latches while
refinishing the covers. Does anyone out there have any spares they
would be willing to sell?

Hi Chuck;

I have one or two latches- I have to look. I let you know
in a day or two; if you want them.. you can have them-
free.

I think I may have found the lathces in a catalogue that I obatained at the
International Friendship Regatta.
It is called Seasea Battillbehor _www.seasea.nu_ (http://www.seasea.nu)
They are located on page 95.
They are called Luckregel-vinkelfaste 90* no.2805 cost 98 kroner. I don't
know what the price would translates to but the cost should not be to bad.

Also on page 80, they list a teak cleat like our bow cleat called Pollare
no. 21 350 kroner.

Anyway, Steve Birch may be better able to make arrangements to stock a
supply of these latches because people have been searching on this net for years
for theses latches.

thanks Paul,

I found some similar latches at West Marine but the upper "hook"
portion only uses two screws instead of four and I thought that would
not be strong enough. Also, of course, it would mean drilling more
holes in the cockpit well for the lower latch.

Hi All

I have my friend Cai (from DenmarK) here in the UK to go to the Boatshow so I will ask him to get some of the latches when he goes back next week.

I think I have answer for holding down the cockpit sole. I have just sourced some stainless 6mm (internal thread) female inserts that are welded onto a base plate that is 38mm x 15mm. These will be ideal to attach from underneath with epoxy etc so you dont get the stripped thread problem. The outside diameter of the insert is about 10mm.

Cai sends his regards to Paul & Melanie Halvach

Kind Regards

Steve, I have been looking for latch system to secure the cockpit hatch ...a quick latch system to replace the screws...takes too long and can create a real problem in an emergency!

I have tried several times to attach a enlarged picture of the hatch
latchwhich I believe is identical to original equipmnet. Evidently I am doing
something incorrect. I guess the next step would be to try to fax it to you or
figure out how to attach it to the Vega site.

I'm pretty sure Yahoo doesn't allow attachments to the group email.
You have to upload, pictures, etc. to the Albin Vega site for us to
see them.

Thanks for the info on the cockpit latches. I'm in need of three of
the hooks if anyone has some spares they can part with. I'm also
needing an injector pump, Bosch part 0 460 302 006, for the MD6A
engine. Mine seems to be not working all that well.

Hi Steve,

If the cockpit locker latches are like the original equipment or similar, we
need 6 latches with hooks (to go with our new cockpit hatch covers!)

No Jan, nothing new anyway. I have been using Netscape mail for years and this is a recent development.

Thanks

Hi
Same for me, I have been getting few of my messages, and occasional
bouncing notices from yahoo telling me my ISP was bouncing them, Switched
email to another acct and now they are supposidly bouncing too except I
always get the rest of my mail at normal times. I have to login to yahoo to
read them all. I am in 3 other yahoo groups and all 3 are having the same
discussion, apparently it's yahoo, and yahoo wide.

Yesterday, when I visited the group to look at some pictures, I was asked to sign in. I had recieved a few messages in my email that day but when I looked at the message index on the Yahoo site I noticed several more that I had not recieved in my email. Normally I get all of the messages in my mailbox, like this one, and reply from there.
