My Cal 28 is new to me. I have 6 lines (2 reefing line, toping lift, 2 halyards and mainsail sheet) all coming thru cleats on the deck by the campanionway, then they just hang into the cockpit. How do you all keep them neat and out of the sun when not using? Clips on the bulkhead, line bag or what? I'm loooing for a way to avoid just hanging them on the winches. Thanks for your suggestions. Photos if available would be helpful. Stpeh

I first did this on our H28 that had four lines...

and it worked so well I did the same on our P42 that has eight lines; four on each side. I cut a teak board one half inch thick by about three inches wide by about 15 inches long that I mounted to our dodger frame with SS "U" straps. WM carries black plastic hooks that I mounted to the teak board. Using shock cord I attached the cord to the hooks long enough to wrap around a coil of line. Works great. Keeps the lines nicely organized, easy to stow and release and up off of the coach roof. Sorry but no pics. Terry
