I need to repair a soft cockpit floor and would like to put a grate floor over the new fiberglass when finished. Has anyone built or purchased a grated floor? Any known issues with the imitation teak? Sources for materials? Any information or pictures will be appreciated. Thanks, Gerry

Don't understand???

What "new fiberglass" are you talking about? Are you saying you want to pull up all flooring and replace it with a teak grated sole? When you say "grated", I interpret this as having spaces between slats for dirt to fall thru???????

install grate on top of new fiberglass

Gary I plan to remove the skin from the existing floor and replace the core. I will finsih with fiberglass mat. After finishing and painting I would like to add a teak grate or slate to sit on the new floor.
