I have a leaking cockpit drain that floods my bilge. The drain is made of plastic at both ends. I assume a hose is in between. Has anyone replaced theirs? Does it require caulk of some kind?

The drain has a gasket in between and it is attached by a hose which has a clamp. The gasket probable is worn and needs to be replaced. Easy job if you can get to it.

About 10 years ago I had to replace my cockpit drain....this summer I have had water in the engine pan
but only after rains...so now I think it's possible that my cockpit drain may be leaking again...as it immediately
goes into the access area under the quarterberth bunk, then to the engine pan waiting for me to pump it out. I'm
glad I read this.....Have a good fall, Patrick
