1978 O'day 23 .. How do I remove and replace the cockpit drain fitting and transom drain fitting so I can also replace the drain hose that connects them.. drain hose has deteriorated and leaks into the bilge. HELP !! leaks bad !! Jim C

Why do you want to remove the fittings? If it's like ours you slide down into the lazarette remove 2 clamps pull old hose and replace with new one. If you need to replace/remove the fittings they are like a sink drain and you can pull the nuts while you are wedged into that little space messing with the hose. If you have really long arms you may be able to reach them without doing the contortionist thing. While you are in there you might check the sink hose thru hull on the starboard side.
