Hey all –Thinking about my winter projects this year. One is an idea I can up with to make custom cushions for the cockpit of my ’78 Catalina 30. Not the cushions you sit on but seasonally-mounted cushions for the sides of the cockpit. I would use ribbed-white vinyl over 2” closed-cell foam stapled and wrapped around ¼ marine grade plywood with mounting screws. I would make 2 along the sides and 1 along the back to serve as back-rests and provide softer/pleasing look to the cockpit. Anyone ever try this or should I leave it to a profession to fabricate? I don't race - just cruise and looking to make the boat as comfortable as possible. Thanks and looking forward to opinions on this.Rob
