I like Bottom Siders

you can order them on this web site. They float. You can leave them out in the rain. Best of all thay are not too expensive.

C Cushions are also good.

Similar to Bottomsiders (closed cell foam, weather resistant (nothing's weather proof), but there are differences in between the two in texture, color, price, service, etc. Like Bottomsiders, C Cushions have patterns for most production boats. I have bought C Cushions for my last two boats. http://www.ccushions.com/ Steve Alchemist C-320

try this...

If you go with bottom siders you can either order from the link at the Hunter Owners site, go to the bottomsiders site, or call them and order direct. If you call and mention that you are a Hunter owners member, you get a discount. I'm not sure why it does not give it automatically when you order from the Hunter owners site. Anyway, I would expect they do the same for the Beneteau site.

Cushions for your tush

I just had a set of cushions made for my OC400 and I love 'em! They're made of thick foam, covered with white vinyl, with two back pieces. There are nine pieces in all and they were done for $600.00! Of course, I had an old set for the guy to use as patterns, so he didn't even have to come to the boat, but they were done by an upholstery shop near my house. I had looked into Bottomsiders but they were too expensive and they are, IMHO, too hard for much comfort. I also bought two of the stadium cushion things (on sale, 2/1, at WM) that have the inner steel frame for angle adjustment. I use them a lot, too, when it's just the boys aboard.

Clarification, re: BottomSiders discount

According to the owner of BottomSiders, they do not provide a discount to users of this site or any of our other sites. Prices in both stores are the same. Just wanted to clarify that!

larry w you got rouked

they are not close foam therefore they can't get soaked. Don't use then in the rain! You should have paid the extra money for closed foam.

Open cell

Don't buy open cell foam for cockpit cushions.

Not so, Droopy

Closed-cell foam is too hard. My cushions can take some rain and spray, but here in So. Cal. we don't get much rain and I store them in the aft cabin.

Closed cell foam does NOT need to be hard.

Larry: Closed cell foam does not need to be hard. Our Bottom Siders on our H'31 provided good support so your butt did not bottom out and provided good comfort. One of our harbor mates purchased closed cell foam from Defender and it it just about as hard as the fiberglass seats that they sit on! <g>

memory foam

my wife scored a bunch of memory foam (like the bed) in 3"and 4" to redo all the cushions in our boat its awsome stuff just make sure your cushions have a way to breathe or they'll blow a seam after a while
