I've ordered 2 sets from SBO one for a Hunter 25 and one for a Hunter 28. Both sets arrived in less than 2 weeks and fit perfectly. This will be our 3rd season on the 28 with the cushions and they still look like new. When comparing SBO to my local shops it was less than 1/2 the cost and so not really any discussion on our part.

We do put them down below in between visits and I decided (for now) to not install the snaps but, other than a little wipe down now and then, they have been perfect for us.

Good luck,

I have a set of vinyl cushions that came with my boat but I haven't used them yet. At least in my boat, all you can do is walk on the seats. . .in the boat, out of the boat, moving about the cockpit, cockpit to side decks, etc. . .they are in OK condition, but you can tell when they were used all they were was walked on. . .

I bought 2 sets of outdoor cushions similar to these:

I untie them to use as throw pillows in the cabin, and if someone wants a cushion for the cockpit they can tie one together and they then get a back rest ;)

Just my unsolicited opinion

FWIW I bought a Bimini from our host and am very happy with it. Good price and well made.

Sunsure fabric and Bottomsider cushions are made from the same premium closed cell foam. Bottomsiders seem to be more popular here in the NW, and the NE, hotter clime customers seem to favor the mesh and breath-a-ability quality of Sunsure.

We offer both.

On the last boat, we bought the Sunsure cushions and on this boat, we opted for Bottomsiders. Both sets of cushions fit well and we liked both cushions. Of the two, we like the Bottomsiders a little better than the Sunsure, but it is really a personal choice. We're in Southern California, and we have our share of hot days. The mesh didn't seem to make that much of a difference.

I've had the Sunsure cushions for a couple years, no noticeable wear, great for not absorbing water. I've also gotten helm and mainsail covers for a previous boat boat from here and really liked their construction. Reminds me, I gotta call and order some for the current boat.

We have Bottomsiders on our Beneteau 323. Fit is good. We opted for a light color (tan) and they are not as hot to sit on if they gave been in the sun. However, Northern Michigan is probablay not a true testing ground for such things as UV deterioration and hot cushions.

Delivery was as promised, quality is excellent.

I bought cushions from SBO about 5 years ago and they are still in perfect condition. I did install the snaps to hold them down and suggest that you do so. Easy trick to locate snaps on cockpit ls to put a bit of Silly Putty or clay in the general location, position the cushion, and then press down. Once the cushion is lifted, you will see exactly where to drill for the snap stud. BTW, we also store cushions below when not using boat.

My seat cushions sit in storage for the day when I decide to show my boat for sale. They were a gift from the previous owner, a guy who never left his slip. I hate those things. They make scrambling in and out of the cockpit a trip hazard. When they get wet you can't stow them below. When they get moldy you really don't want them below. And when they're doing what they are designed to do, people are walking on them.

I had a problem with the solid vinyl type. I think they were C Cushions. They would pick up newsprint and printers ink like silly putty did when I was a kid. My wife once left a newspaper sitting on it and when I picked it up it left a copy of the printing. Same with some book covers. You could not get it out completely. Just be careful what you put on it.
