Cobb Island

Looking for info on Cobb Island in addition to what the Cruising Guide says. For an overniter 4th of July weekend and thinking about hitting one of the local restaurants. What MArina should I shoot for with easy access to restaurants? Island or mainland side? TIA

Doesn't matter

I was just there - there's a bridge between the two - a nice, short walk to restaurants on either side. I liked the marina on the island side better - south of the bridge in Neale Sound - called Pirate's Cove or something. CI is worth a look around - enjoy yourself.

Info on Cobb

In the attached picture is the marina Pirates Den which has transient slips don't goto the other marina - shallow water. There is a restaurant at the marina 'Waterfront' a bit pricey but good food. Across the bridge two restaurants (walking easy) is Capt John's seafood and an Shymanskys. I have a slip at Pirates on A dock, funny thing is we plan to go over to Colonial Beach to watch the fire works and stay over. Maybe we will see each other.JimS/V Java
