Anyone know offhand if a Raymarine autopilot can be controlled by a laptop running coastal explorer via nmea?

My ST2000 is controlled very well by my laptop running Maptech Offshore Navigator, so yours'll likely do it too. The trick was in wiring a serial cable to the proper "pins" on the autopilot harness.

And here's the trick: As you know most computers like USB's nowadays, and the RS232 is gone. No problem. A 232 to USB converter is cheap, very much so. But, pin 2 is receive data,(RxD), pin 3 transmit data,(TxD), and black pin 5,(Gnd). Now they'll talk.
