Coaming Compartment Covers

Has anyone made or added covers to their cockpit coaming compartments? Now that the warm weather is upon us here in the south the wasp are discovering this perfect location to hang out.

Figured I'd ask instead of reinventing the wheel if someone has come up with a nifty design....

There was a thread here someplace. Try a few search terms. I have wondered aboût getting some plastic ones 3d printed.

Put some real moth balls, naptha in an old sock and stick down in lazarette. Acts as wasp deterrent.

I installed four male snap fittings around my coaming compartments into the fiberglass (not the teak trim) and then sewed a Sunbrella cover and fitted the female snaps to match the male snaps. After grabbing up what was probably one of the last pair of replacement teak trim rings and installing them, I wasn't about to let them cook in the sun. I looked and I don't have any pictures of them to share with you.

What size of screw on the male snap did you use? Thanks Kevin
