Coach Roof leaking at foot of mast

Hi I have a Legend 260 with a water leak coming in from the from the outside coach roof at the bottom of the mast where the chrome pole enters the cabin.

All I can think of is it is coming in from where the channel leading to the keel lifting pulley and the rope enters from the deck down into the pole and onto the keel stock.

I have opened the access panels inside the cabin roof and indeed the water is coming from around the top of the pole.

So far I have applied silicon to the deck even to the extent of building a silicon damp across the channel and cutting out a piece of plastic and siliconing it to cover the entrance to the pulley on the deck but I am still getting the water coming through.

Has anyone else had this problem which seems to be a design fault as having a channel moulded into the deck leading to the pole seems a little prone to issues with sealants.

Any ideas of how to solve this would be greatly appreciated as now becoming a real niggling issue. Thanks
