Coach house port light for '78 O'Day 28

HELP! I only wanted to pry out the frame a bit to repair the seal...snap! crackle! pop!.. now I have gaping hole in my coach house! I am looking for port lights for my 1978 O'Day 28; primarilly the forward starboard one(which I have so completely rendered useless!) As a last resort, any good plans for custum replacements?thanks in advance,scott@realcreative.net

Try beckson

Beckson Marine was the original supplier for the later 28's. I don't know if they went as far back as '78, but it would be worth a try. Good service and friendly people who you can talk to ON THE PHONE!! Go to Beckson.com and then click on PORTS. Find yours and then proceed from there. PM

PYHI

My 1980 OD 28 has PYHI opening port holes in the head area. If this is what you are referring to when you say that the "port light" is broken then you probably need to contact Rudy at D & R Marine for an exact replacment. PYHI is out of business but there are other manufacturers out there who make the same size port hole. You say that yours is a '78 28 OD so it probably isn't a Beckson product; Beckson may have a bolt-in replacement though. Good Luck,Mike
