My CO alarms is going crazy. All kinds of weird chirps. nothing consistent. Happens when engine is on or off and ventilated. Last owner told me to run blower after I turn the engine off. I was always taught to run before I turn engine on? Could that have something to do with it? 2006 hunter 31 with yanmar 21hp.

CO alarms are very sensitive to pollution, fumes, outgasiing fiberglass, etc. the sensors usually are only good for 3 years and then need to be replaced. my 3 all failed in just over 3 years. The detectors are also sensitive to low voltages and may misbehave if your batteries are low

Blow

I turn the blower on when ever I run my engine any way even let the blower run after using the engine any way.
But I also don't have any chirping except once in a while when I use the water pump for the sink, not very often at all,my Hunter is a 2007 -36 has has done the miner chirping since new,try running the blower more and see if it helps.

Re: Blow

Thats funny, I just went and checked my boat and it seems to be the same problem. When the water pump is left on the CO alarms chirps. You saved me alot of investigating. Yet still more to do.
