we've decided NOT to convert to propane, as we found a resource for cng fills. but we would like to purchase one or two extra cng tanks. we've found little available. for all the postings and information on cng to propane conversions, you'd think there would be a host of tanks laying around! any help on leads to cng tanks for marine use would be greatly appreciated! thanks to all....allen

Benny, that is news to me!

Allen I have been through all of this,

Hey Allen, my 85 C30 came with CNG and man what a hassle I had at first. The marina charges about $75.00 a tank to exchange empty for full, I now go through a welding supply store in Ludington Mich. to get mine filled. I ended up purchasing 2 more tanks as they are 3 hours from me. I get them refilled for ONLY $15.00 ea. and one will last almost all summer. They were $225.00 each but I bought one the first year and the other 4 years later. I hope to "get out there" in about 5 years, so we wanted to be ready for a year round supply. Funny now with the gas thing going on, it sounds like CNG will be makiing a comeback. Hopefully we will be ahead of the curve, riding the wave at the right time. I really like the hot clean burn we get from it. We use our oven all the time, (when not grilling with propane). Your supplier should be able to sell you full tanks, if not contact me, and I will try to help. www.blowinganddrifting@yahoo.com
