Don't Drill The Jets
I believe that propane needs smaller jets than LNG. I am sure you can find a conversion kit for your stove that will make the conversion proper. As far as the location for the tank, you will have to find a location that is sealed and vented. My P42 was converted and a separate locker was fabricated in one of the quarter lockers that opens to the outside and has a vent that goes overboard. You also have to have the electric shutoff valve at the tank as well. Remember that propane is heavier than air (as opposed to LNG which is lighter than air) so it will settle to the bilge and then the next time the bilge pump turns on you are probably looking at a trip to the moon..... Do it right or don't do it at all.
