Bio-

The phone number for the City of Dunedin Marina is 727-298-3030, right on Main street. I don't sail there (I'm on the other side of the county), but I know there are several places, and the marina should be able to point you in the right direction.

thanks cup...I was just checking out the marina and surrounding waters via google earth and noaa charts. After heading west a bit off of intercoastal it looks kinda shoaly south west to channel into state park. Next step is to check out tides. AMAZING the electronic aids for trip planning and navigation these days! Hurricane pass looks like good access to gulf?

I know it's hard to believe-

I can drive to the Dunedin Marina, from my marina, in about 35 minutes, But it would take the better part of a day to sail there. We almost always head south, never north, so, to tell you the truth, I've never been through Hurricane pass! Perhaps others will have better info...

if you check the map, there is a draw bridge just south of the Dunedin Municiple marina. No big deal, just wait for it to open. You are right it is shoaly all around there in the intracoastal waterway. Best to stick to the channel. What boat you be launching? You could also try Anclote Park public ramp about 7mi N of dunedin. Be careful though-very strong tide currents on some days, but a straight shot to open water. Patrick
