Galveston Beach Bum

My wife recently went to use the head on our 1977 Catalina 27 and the water flushed up onto the starboard deck through the breather. It's been a couple years since anyone tried using the head on this boat (we usually just hang off the back!) I'm thinking maybe the through-hull is clogged with barnacles - though we just had the bottom done two years ago with the super toxic biolux paint. Anyone have a plumbing schematic for this old boat, or any ideas on how to flush it out?

The holding tank is full.
Maybe not by use but by leaving the macerator thru hull open of by another thru hull.

Shell's right, that happens -- the tank fills up if the macerator thru hull is open at the same time the valve from the head to the tank is open, too.

Pump out your tank, and follow the hoses and make a diagram of what YOU have on YOUR boat, because there are about six different ways that the boat could be piped.

Make sure the vent line is clear, too.
