I like this forum now that I have an iPhone. The app makes it a real joy vs using the mobile browser. Hope the other forum gets converted dome day...

Can't wait to see your new boat! Hope you're on it and in Florida next March - we'll drop in.

I'm having the same problem

I decided to replace the bolt that holds the forestay and the block between the headstay hounds. I put the bolt in about 4 yrs ago and used a grade 8 1/4 bolt but it is showing some rust now. I bought a stainless steel bolt, a galvanized bolt and another grade 8 bolt. Which one should I use? Im afraid the stainless steel bolt is brittle and will break and then down comes the mast. Ive even thought of moving the block above the hounds using a cheek block that has holes for 6 rivets to attach to the mast. It has a curve to it to form to the mast. I know some have talked about using a pin, but it seems there would be too much lateral movement. Thanks!!
