here are your options
to get into E 55th, you have to put in to bid in August the preceding year. There are currently 6 boats in line for the slips that hold 35' or larger boats. They also have a restaurant and it gets good use. The guy that was running that marina also ran Edgewater, but he was killed in an auto accident in November, so we are waiting o see what his wife does (she's a nurse at Parma General).Edgewater Marina, in the same basin as Edgewater Yacht club has one rule, pay up by March 30 to get your slip from the year before. Then it's first come. A slip for your size boat could only be "E" dock at $1500 for the season. This is where I keep my boat. We are working on he laundry. There is a boat club there that costs $30 to join, and well worth it. Oh yeah, we dock med style, aft end in. You could get a slip on "C" dock but it costs more and you will stick out, but you will have a side dock. Gypsy left and that space will be open. She was a 38' Endeavor. Edgewater, Lakeside, Forest City, are clubs that cost about $4000 for the first year, or more. But, they have laundry.Rocky River has slips available, but they are the Condo thing, or, on the wrong side of the river. All the above are safe. Stay away from Sycamore Slip. No security at all, or bathrooms, or much of anything. As for the ash, the power plant had a fart and coated all the boats at E55th, but agreed to clean them, or pay for you to clean them. Whiskey Island, Edgewater all get some dirt from the ore and ore boats. We get smell from the poop factory at times too. There is another place, Riverside, but it is up river about 6 miles and several bridges. My vote...go with Edgewater Marina...everyone complains, but it's the cheapest around. Spitzer in Lorain is good at $2800 for your size boat. They have everything there you need and it is only 20 minutes more drive to Cleveland.Anything else, holler!
