cleat/rope clutch location for furling line on O'day 25

Hi there,

Another question about roller furling installs- we've got our new CDI FF4 installed on our O'day 25. I'm wondering what the best location for the line control for the furling drum is. Are you all using a rope clutch to control the line, or just a cam cleat, and where do you have it located? We do have stanchion mounted fairleads to route the line back to the cockpit on the starboard coaming.

Just curious what others have come up with. . .

I used fairleads low on the outside of the port stanchions and a Johnson cleat high on the aft port stanchion. No Holes drilled.

I'm using small single sheaves attached to the bails at the bottom of my lifeline stanchions and I'm using a regular horn cleat to snub it off. If you decide to use a cleat, you would be wise to mount it somewhere near your stern pulpit or after the Gennie winch. If you mount it before the winch, your sheet will get caught on it.
