Cleat dowel size?

Hey everyone, thanks for the thoughts on mounting solar panels, i've
decided to mount two small ones on the stern rail, as some of you
suggested. The new question... Does anyone know the diameter of the
teak dowel in the original Albin cleats? Mine are working for now but
seem a little weedy and worn. I'm about 200 miles from the boat and
wanted to order a teak dowel of the right size to run down there with
soon. Has anybody replaced these? Thanks, as always.

Hi,
With my caliper I measure 29 mm (1.1/8), the old stock. The new ones I made to fit into the rings is 29.5 mm.

Thanks for the link to the newsletter. Great article on the Inner
Forestay!! I've been thinking about adding one. One question: At what
height up the mast do you attach it ... at the spreaders, or above?

Try and keep the inner forestay parallel to the standard forestay and that will give you the position.
