Hey gang Just curious if anyone has any organic tips for getting the green "gook" off the seacocks, stuffing box bronze. Mine are growing some beautiful indian jewelry on the outside. I have heard baking soda but im sure someone out there has the cure. Thanks Rick s/v whiskey chaser

cleaning bronze the hard way

“Bartender’s Friend” is a good (& cheap) metal cleaner. A trick for brass: Mix a paste of Salt + Vinengar + Water. Never tried, but have heard that Worcestershire Sauce works on Brass. Hopefully, your brass fittings are actually Bronze. Sometimes the following work on Bronze: Lemmon Juice + Salt + Flour or Baking Soda + Vinegar (Rinse well after) and always: Elbo Grease! Regards, Gord May
