Cleaning the inaccessible?

Newport 28 Richardson Marina
I've been working on my '76 Newport 28 and have cleaned every space I can reach. There was lots of grime behind every cabinet, in the engine compartment, etc...It used to smell like a combination of mildew, oil and gas it is getting much better. There are no leaks of oil, gas or water. It does not bother me but my wife almost made us leave the boat at 2 am Sunday morning.

The question is: How does one clean the tight spaces between the hull and cabin moldings? There are spaces with almost zero clearance. I used a garden pump sprayer with Super Purple heavy duty detergent followed by a clean water rinse but without being able to rub it with a rag or brush it is not as effective as it needs to be.

There MUST be a miracle cleaner out there somewhere!

Try gun cleaning gear.
Tedious, but will reach those spots to brush and swab. Break up the junk and rinse.
You can buy the bits seperately. Not the whole kit. Just the brush and swab sizes you need.
