Any one have a good safe way to clean the engine? I'm afraid of using GUNK because it is flammable and I'm not sure I could get all of it out of the bilge manually to avoid later pumping it out into the environment. Thanks Tim

Dirty Engine

Try Simple Green. The label claims it's safe for the enviroment. It does a great job of cutting through greese.

Oil is the problem!

Watch out for the Simple Green, where as it may be true that the Simple Green is enviromentially safe the oil isn't. What it does is emulsify the oil which if discharged is definitely against the law.

A clean and shiny engine

Tim; Put a couple of those oilsorber pads under the engine to catch the runoff and use the Simple Green or a citrus degreaser.
