Hi there -- I want to clean the deck. I have been told a Scotch Brite pad and some Softscrub will do the trick. I've also been told X-14 is the thing. Would like to make the deck sparkle and would like to protect the fiberglass too. Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks, Pat C22 (still thinking of a name)

I've never used any of his products but have heard (and not just from him!) that they're the bomb! He'll have a product for you. Just head back to our homepage & go to the Gelcoat forum. I just use a scrub brush & boat soap but I wouldn't go so far as to say my deck "sparkles." Be sure not to wax your non-skid or else it won't be non-skid for long! LaDonna

If you stay on top of it, boat soap and a good stiff bristle brush should work just fine. If not, I use Softscrub with a stiff bristle brush and it works like a champ (I use regular Softscrub, i.e. not the kind with bleach). Make sure you rinse it real good to get all the Softscrub off. After the cleaning, to make it sparkle you'll need a good paste wax, I use one from 3M. Hope that helps. Mark McGeorge C-22 15209 "Running Start"
