I just stripped all of the lines off of my 23' which had been left uncovered for a few years. The lines mostly have dirt and green algae or mold. It is double braid poly, and I thought about soaking them in a bucket of water with a little hydrogen peroxide solution. Any thoughts on this or other ideas? I am also thinking of....{blushing} buying some Oxiclean and using that. Marcus

Just a little secret

Start off with "Mildew Stain Remover" by Starbright sprayed directly onto your lines. (Caution- this stuff will pull the color out of your cloths, very high levels of clorine.) This stuff should take care of the green growth. Next, place a line into your washer (Hot Water) with "Tide" or whatever is available. As an added touch add some "Downey" to the rinse cycle to soften them up some. Now for the fun part. After the washing is done the rope will be tangled some. Have fun and enjoy the puzzle. Your lines will be slightly damp. Just hang them up for a day or two and they'll be ready in no time.
