Cleaning out the skylights

I seem to have a considerable amount of stuff trapped between the panes on the two skylights on our Catalina 270. Has anyone managed to clean in this area and if so, how difficult. I don't seem to have an leaks in the area (knocking on teak).Bill PotterSalt & PepperHull # 159

Hi BillWhen my 270 was new it had a bunch of factorygunk between the lower and upper skylight.The upper hood fastens to the deck withabout 20 wood screws. I took the uppersea hood off cleaned then coated the screwswith silicone sealant end refastened.No leaks and 4 yrs later still cleanskylights. Good luck!Doug
