Anyone have any good methods of cleaning anodized aluminum? It has that weathered tarnished look and a few spots of corrosion. I'm putting new glass in and want to clean up the widow frame extrusions before assembling the window.

Back in the midwest, where the beef trade is king, aluminum double-decker trailers are cleaned at truck washes using some type of acid, but I'm not sure which. They came out looking like new aluminum. Maybe a call to a truck wash? Sorry I'm not more help.

We clean all alum (pontoonsrails and hardware) with 2% fydroflolic acid. You can also use alum wheel cleaner but, it's not as strong ( auto Zone ) A gallon of the 2% acid will cost you about $5.00 Don't get it on you it causes bone deteration over years of exposure Chip
